- One of the popular and effective ways to treat hives would be to take cool compresses. It is a good idea to take cool showers or bath as it will help you in treating hives.
- Apply Vitamin E oil on the affected area of hives and repeat this process at least twice a day.
- In a half filled bathtub of lukewarm water add half cup of each cornstarch and baking soda. Soak your affected skin in that water. It is an effective way of treating skin hives.
- Drink peppermint, chamomile or valerian tea as it helpful in curing sin hives. This tea will soothe the mind and are thus helpful in treating skin hives.
- Apply aloe vera gel son the affected area of hives as it is helpful in curing hives. You can also use the pulp of aloe vera or the cream containing it.
- You can also prepare tea by adding two teaspoons of powdered stinging nettle. You can also add a teaspoon of honey or a few drops of lemon for flavor in it. Drink that tea at least twice a day as it will help in healing the hives.
- The consumption of foods that are rich in vitamin C and vitamin E with Zinc should be increased.
- Mix 3 teaspoons of cornstarch, 2 cups of oatmeal and add a little water to make a paste. Apply that paste on the affected area of hives for about half an hour.
- Add a tablespoon of oatmeal in a cup of boiling water and allow it to steep for half an hour. Strain the mixture and coat it over the affected area using a cotton ball.
Try to avoid any kind of heat in the body as this would dilate the blood vessel and increase the hives instead.
