Using a dehumidifier can help people suffering from mold allergy because it will keep the humidity to a point low enough that mold cannot grow.

Also in some people mold allergy occurs by eating certain kinds of food. Therefore, they should avoid eating such food items. Also ensure that you store your food properly to avoid mold formation.

While these are some of the remedies which will help prevent mold formation which in return will prevent a person susceptible to mold allergy from any allergic reaction.

Treatment of mold allergy hives would include over the counter medicines that are readily available at a medical store. Antihistamines can be taken to treat mold allergy that causes skin reactions such as hives and rashes. Soothing creams can be used to reduce the itchiness of the hives caused due to mold allergy. In some cases, steroids will be prescribed by your immunologist, but steroids can have side effects.
